The Region of Waterloo operates an international airport that provides convenient service for air travel. Community emergency response plans are designed with air travel preparedness in mind.

Rail

Rail companies are now required to provide information to the public about dangerous goods being transported through Municipalities. This is implemented through Protective Direction 36, one of the tools used by Transport Canada to regulate rail transportation.
